Baseball Recap: Jackson County Comes Up Short

Collins Hill hit Jackson County with a six-run first inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers fell 9-4 to the Eagles. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Jackson County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Collins Hill, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson County will welcome Cherokee Bluff at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Collins Hill, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Duluth at 12:00 p.m.
