Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clarke Central). They blew past the Cedar Shoals Jaguars 24-1 on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Gladiators considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Clarke Central moved to 4-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Cedar Shoals, they dropped their record down to 4-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clarke Central will welcome Oglethorpe County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Gladiators' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Cedar Shoals, they will challenge East Forsyth at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
