Murphy entered their tilt with Swain County on Monday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Maroon Devils 79-59. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Murphy had a senior duo take command as Abram Twiggs dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds and Cale Harger went 8-for-12 on his way to 18 points and six boards. Twiggs is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 58% in the last 12 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ryan Payne, who posted nine points in addition to seven assists and five boards.

Murphy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Murphy's record now sits at 16-3. As for Swain County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.

Murphy has already played their next contest, an 88-56 victory against Hayesville on the 11th. As for Swain County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 76-52 win against Summit Charter Academy on the 11th.
