Baseball Preview: Seneca East Tigers vs. Carey Blue Devils
The Seneca East Tigers will take on the Carey Blue Devils at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Seneca East will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
It was a proper cat-fight when Seneca East faced off against Woodmore on Sunday. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Wildcats. Four seems to be a good number for the Tigers as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Carey never let their opponents score on Monday. Everything went their way against Riverdale as they made off with a 10-0 win. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Carey got a big performance out of Garrett Hall, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Bame, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Seneca East's record is now 17-6-1. As for Carey, their record now sits at 22-3.
