Basketball Recap: Taylor Ford Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Central Valley

Anderson won the last time they faced Central Valley and things went their way on Friday too. The Anderson Cubs enjoyed a cozy 52-38 victory over the Central Valley Falcons.

Anderson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Taylor Ford out in front who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 24 rebounds. Ford's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Renna Shriner was another key player, dropping a double-double with 17 points and 19 boards.

Anderson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 41 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Anderson's record now sits at 14-12. As for Central Valley, they dropped their record down to 4-19 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Anderson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 57-45 loss against West Valley on the 11th. As for Central Valley, they have also already played their next game, a 61-27 defeat against University Prep on the 11th.
