Baseball Recap: Hiram Comes Up Short

Hiram was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 22-7 to the Dalton Catamounts. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Catamounts this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 last Tuesday.

Josh Tuggle was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Hiram is 3-1 when Tuggle posts three or more RBI, but 4-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jacob Ramirez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Hiram's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Dalton, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.

While Hiram had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
