Basketball Recap: Willows Comes Up Short

Willows lost against East Nicolaus back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Willows Honkers fell to the East Nicolaus Spartans 52-48. The Honkers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Willows still got an impressive performance from Karla DiMaggio, who posted 26 points. Emily Neuhauer was another key player, putting up seven points.

East Nicolaus' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makinze Massey, who put up 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Hall, who earned 17 points.

Willows' loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for East Nicolaus, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-11.

Willows has already played their next matchup, a 47-37 defeat against Winters on the 7th. As for East Nicolaus, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-49 victory against Stone Ridge Christian on the 7th.
