Softball Recap: Cameron Wins Going Away Against Haileyville

Cameron hadn't done well against Haileyville recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Yellow Jackets blew past the Warriors 15-5. The Yellow Jackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by ten runs or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Cameron and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games. As for Haileyville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Cameron will host Keota at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Yellow Jackets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Haileyville, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Leflore at 4:30 p.m. on September 4.
