Softball Recap: St. Anne-Pacelli Gets the Win

After losing to Heritage the last time they met, St. Anne-Pacelli decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Vikings came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 6-2 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Bella Mcbride spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Talley Ellis was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, one run, and one double. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Madison Green was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

The win got St. Anne-Pacelli back to even at 4-4. As for Heritage, they now have a losing record of 2-3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Anne-Pacelli will host Mount de Sales Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Heritage, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Flint River Academy at 5:30 p.m.
