Basketball Game Preview: Monterey Dores vs. Soledad Aztecs

The Monterey Dores will face off against the Soledad Aztecs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Monterey is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Saturday, Monterey lost to Burlingame at home by a 45-31 margin.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Soledad). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Seaside 56-16. The Aztecs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 22 points or more this season.

Monterey's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Soledad, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Monterey suffered a grim 55-31 defeat to Soledad when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Monterey avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
