Softball Recap: King's Ridge Christian Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact King's Ridge Christian can now relate to. They fell just short of the Whitefield Academy WolfPack by a score of 11-9 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered since September 5th.

Kate Greiner stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Katie Washer, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

King's Ridge Christian's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-9-1. As for Whitefield Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.

While King's Ridge Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
