Softball Recap: Fort Zumwalt South Bulldogs vs. Washington Bluejays
Fort Zumwalt South lost against Washington back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Bluejays, falling 16-4. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kaylee Daniels made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Those RBI were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Julia Atherton, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Fort Zumwalt South's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Washington, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Fort Zumwalt South is taking a road trip to take on Howell Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Washington, they will welcome Warrenton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13 runs per game on average), something the Bluejays will no doubt try to take advantage of.
