Recap: Southmoreland Scotties vs. Albert Gallatin Colonials
The Southmoreland Scotties scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 83-63 margin over Albert Gallatin. Southmoreland has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.
Leading Southmoreland to victory were Ty Keffer and Noah Felentzer. Keffer scored 24 points, while Felentzer scored 27 points. Keffer has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. Elliot Premus was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Southmoreland pushed their record up to 13-2 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Albert Gallatin, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
Southmoreland will head out on the road to square off against Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 600th, while Southmoreland is ranked 137th). As for Albert Gallatin, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Elizabeth Forward at 7:30 p.m. Elizabeth Forward is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
