Basketball Recap: High Tech SD Falls to Escondido in First Game of Season + How To Watch

High Tech SD had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Escondido Cougars, falling 47-25. If the Storm were looking for revenge after losing 38-24 to the Cougars when the teams met back in December of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Several Storm players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Poema Strong, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Aliya Khalighi, who put up seven points.

Escondido is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

High Tech SD will face off against Del Norte at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Escondido, they will venture away from home to square off against Bonita Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars' defense better be ready for this one: the Barons have averaged an impressive 51.8 points per game this season.
