Football Recap: Abington Galloping Ghosts vs. Central Bucks East Patriots

Abington extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 1-6. They had to suffer through a 49-7 loss at the hands of the Central Bucks East Patriots. The Galloping Ghosts were not able to make up for their loss to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Miles Yockus threw for 106 yards on seven of 18 attempts. Kai Taylor was his top target, picking up 51 receiving yards.

As for Central Bucks East, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.0 points on average over those games.

Central Bucks East was led to victory by Asher Green and Hunter Pulford. Green rushed for 82 yards and a pair of TDs on only five carries, while Pulford rushed for 57 yards and one score. Those 82 rushing yards gave Green a new career-high.

Abington wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 28-14 defeat against Central Bucks South on the 10th. As for Central Bucks East, they have also already played their next contest, a 41-35 loss against Neshaminy on the 10th.
