Football Recap: West Carrollton Takes a Loss

West Carrollton fell victim to Butler and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 38-0 loss at the hands of the Aviators. The loss continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Aviators: they've now lost seven in a row.

Elijah Grigsby threw for 138 yards on eight of 21 attempts. Sultan Khaleel was his top target, picking up 96 receiving yards.

West Carrollton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Butler, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. West Carrollton will face off against Sidney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates will be up against the Yellowjackets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 44.13 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Butler, they will take on Piqua at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
