Recap: Steinbrenner Warriors vs. Riverview Sharks
The Riverview Sharks typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday the Steinbrenner Warriors proved too difficult a challenge. Steinbrenner secured a 41-36 W over Riverview. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Steinbrenner's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ty Robinson led the charge by throwing for 186 yards and two touchdowns, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Brenan Lowe also helped out with an impressive 90 receiving yards.
Riverview's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dontarious "Rico" Shoats, who rushed for 178 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Stephane Norceide was another key contributor, rushing for 64 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
Steinbrenner is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season. As for Riverview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.
Steinbrenner does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Riverview will head out on the road to face off against Sumner at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sumner is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
