Volleyball Recap: Briana (Bri) Kaufman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Westview over Eastside

Westview was the 2-0 winner over Eastside when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blazers on Saturday. Warriors fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Blazers since Saturday.

While Westview was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-14.

Westview lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Briana (Bri) Kaufman, who had 11 digs and two aces.

Westview's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Eastside, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Westview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Bethany Christian on the 2nd. As for Eastside, they will head out on the road to take on Churubusco at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
