            The Horizon Hawks will take on the Silver Creek Raptors at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Horizon knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Silver Creek likes a good challenge.
On Tuesday, Horizon got the win against Legacy  by a conclusive  12-2. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won 12 matchups by six  runs or more  so far this season.

 Kaiya Barela made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out ten batters over  six innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with three  RBI and two  doubles. That's the most  doubles  she has posted since back in September.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Ava Howard, who  went 2-for-3 with three  runs and two  RBI.  Bryanna Fontes was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases and one  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Silver Creek fell victim to Broomfield and their airtight pitching crew  on Tuesday. They lost  16-0 to the Eagles. The  loss   continues a  trend for the Raptors in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.
 Horizon has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.1 runs on average over those games. As for Silver Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.
 Everything went Horizon's way against Silver Creek when the teams last played  two weeks ago, as Horizon made off with  an  11-1 win. Do  the Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raptors turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
