Basketball Recap: Firebaugh Takes a Loss

Firebaugh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 29-10 bruising from the Dominguez Dons. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dominguez to victory, but perhaps none more so than ASHLEY CRUZ, who posted seven points and four steals. That's the most steals CRUZ has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of MYA HARRIS, who had five points along with five rebounds and three blocks.

Firebaugh's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Dominguez, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 21-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Dominguez beat Firebaugh by a score of 36-12 on Wednesday.
