Football Recap: Owatonna Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Owatonna can now relate to. They fell just short of the Northfield Raiders by a score of 26-23 on Saturday. The Huskies' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Owatonna lost, don't look at Tristan Graham*. Despite the final result, he rushed for 95 yards and a pair of scores. Graham* also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Huskies are 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-4 otherwise.

Owatonna's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Northfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Owatonna does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northfield, they will challenge Mayo on Friday.
