Soccer Game Preview: Classical Academy vs. Santa Fe Christian

The Classical Academy Caimans will venture away from home to take on the Santa Fe Christian Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Classical Academy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Classical Academy is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Pacific Ridge on Friday. Classical Academy fell just short of Pacific Ridge by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Caimans have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Santa Fe Christian narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Bishop's 3-2. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Classical Academy now has a losing record at 6-7-4. As for Santa Fe Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4-5.

Classical Academy beat Santa Fe Christian by a goal in their previous meeting back in January, winning 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Classical Academy since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
