Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mt. St. Joseph Academy). They breezed by the Upper Merion Area Vikings to the tune of 61-27 on Saturday. The Magic have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Devon Maiden, who posted 12 points. That was a full 44.4% of Upper Merion Area's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Piper Edge, who had three points and nine boards.

Mt. St. Joseph Academy pushed their record up to 10-11 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points per game. As for Upper Merion Area, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-8 record.

Mt. St. Joseph Academy is taking a road trip to challenge Villa Maria Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. St. Joseph Academy is facing Villa Maria Academy at the right time seeing as Villa Maria Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Upper Merion Area, they will host Interboro at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
