Bishop Moore has gone a perfect 6-0 against Tavares recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Hornets will challenge the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Bishop Moore sitting on seven straight wins and Tavares on three.
Bishop Moore's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 48-0 victory over Eustis. The contest marked the Hornets' most dominant win of the season.

Bishop Moore found their leader in sophomore Blake McCullough, who threw for 261 yards and four TDs while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt. The Hornets also got help from Kenyon Alston, who showed off his sure hands for 100 receiving yards.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Bishop Moore's defense and their 12 sacks. It was truly a group effort as Mateo Rivera, Lucas Bower, and Brady Raub picked up two apiece. Rivera is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as he's now posted at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Malachi Estrada got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Tavares humbled Mount Dora with a 41-7 victory. Considering the Bulldogs have won four matchups by more than 33 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Bishop Moore better keep an eye on Tamauri Collins. He was instrumental in Tavares' win, rushing for 266 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Collins is now averaging an impressive 120 rushing yards per game.
Tavares' victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Bishop Moore, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.
Friday's game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Amar'E Johnson and Collins. Johnson just won't slow down this season and has averaged 152 rushing yards per game. Collins has been a dominant force too and has run in 16 touchdowns while averaging 120 rushing yards per game.
Everything came up roses for Bishop Moore against Tavares in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 41-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
