Baseball Game Preview: White County Warriors vs. Chestatee War Eagles

White County and Chestatee are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2018, but likely not for long. White County will challenge Chestatee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

White County managed to slip by North Hall the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. White County came up short against North Hall on Friday, falling 15-5. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Alex Freeman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two doubles. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cooper Garrett, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Chestatee fell victim to Dawson County and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the War Eagles have suffered against the Tigers since March 5, 2016.

This is the second loss in a row for Chestatee and nudges their season record down to 5-13. As for White County, they dropped their record down to 7-10 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
