Baseball Recap: Dominion Christian Sets Scoring Season-High Against Heritage Preparatory

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dominion Christian). Everything went their way against the Heritage Preparatory Rams on Wednesday as they made off with a 15-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Knights as they're now sitting on six straight.

Ben Elsey was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played. Jake Jackson was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1.

Elsey wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Dominion Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Dominion Christian pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Heritage Preparatory, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Coming up, Dominion Christian has the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Drew Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Heritage Preparatory, they will welcome Cristo Rey Atlanta at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
