After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Breckenridge, Wadena-Deer Creek was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They managed a 36-30 win over the Menahga Braves. The Wolverines' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Wadena-Deer Creek's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Menahga, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.
