Volleyball Game Preview: Irving Tigers vs. Nimitz Vikings

Irving hasn't had much luck against Nimitz recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Vikings at 6:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

It was a proper cat-fight when Irving duked it out with MacArthur on Thursday. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Cardinals.

Irving was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring two points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-2, 25-2, 25-2.

Meanwhile, Nimitz came up short against Richardson on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15, 25-15.

Nimitz's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Irving, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-16.

Irving suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Nimitz in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
