Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gateway). They claimed a resounding 49-0 win over the Adams City Eagles. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Olympians considering their eight-point performance the matchup before.

Gateway got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lyric Wynn out in front who picked up 152 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 75 yards and one TD on only nine carries. Another player making a difference was Westin Rayburn, who rushed for 56 yards and one touchdown on only five carries.

Gateway's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Adams City, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Gateway will square off against Mountain View at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Adams City, they will take on Westminster at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
