Soccer Game Preview: Orange vs. Bolsa Grande

The Orange Panthers will square off against the Bolsa Grande Matadors at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Orange's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Orange fell victim to Los Amigos and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lobos. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1022nd, while the Lobos are ranked 429th).

Meanwhile, on TuesdayRancho Alamitos kept up with Bolsa Grande until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. Bolsa Grande's defense stepped up to hand Rancho Alamitos a 3-0 shutout.

Orange's loss dropped their record down to 3-10-2. As for Bolsa Grande, their win bumped their record up to 4-6-3.
