Softball Game Preview: Denver Cyclones vs. Dike-New Hartford Wolverines

Denver is 1-9 against Dike-New Hartford since June of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Cyclones will be playing at home against the Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Denver is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Sumner-Fredericksburg on Friday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 11-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cyclones have suffered since June 5th.

Meanwhile, Dike-New Hartford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 9-2 to Hudson. Surprisingly, this marked the Wolverines' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Denver's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Dike-New Hartford, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.
