Baseball Recap: Oscoda Comes Up Short

Tawas Area hit Oscoda with a nine-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Owls lost 11-2 to the Braves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Braves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 on Thursday.

Oscoda has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for Tawas Area, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-7.

Coincidentally, Oscoda and Tawas Area will both be playing Heston Academy the next time they take the field. The Braves will head out to face the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Owls will host them at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
