Soccer Recap: Costa Mesa Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Costa Mesa was not quite Valencia's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Valencia Tigers by a score of 2-1. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Costa Mesa's loss dropped their record down to 9-5-1. As for Valencia, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Costa Mesa has already played their next contest (against Laguna Hills), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Valencia has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Katella.
