Soccer Game Preview: Nogales vs. Sierra Vista

The Nogales Nobles will take on the Sierra Vista Dons at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Nogales' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Nogales came up short against Duarte on Tuesday, falling 4-1. That's two games in a row now that the Nobles have lost by exactly three goals.

Meanwhile, Sierra Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Azusa. While losing is never fun, the Dons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1004th, while the Aztecs are ranked 406th).

Nogales' loss dropped their record down to 4-13-2. As for Sierra Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16-1.

Nogales skirted past Sierra Vista 2-1 in their previous meeting on January 14th. Will Nogales repeat their success, or does Sierra Vista have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
