Basketball Game Preview: Laton Mustangs vs. Wonderful College Prep Academy Wolves

Laton is 1-9 against Wonderful College Prep Academy since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Mustangs will be home for the holidays to greet the Wolves at 5:00 p.m.

Laton saw some tournament action on Saturday. They lost 42-22 to Alpaugh.

Despite their defeat, Laton saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Gabriella Alvarado, who posted nine points, was perhaps the best of all. That was a full 40.9% of the Mustangs' points, marking the third time in a row Alvarado has put up more than a third of the team's points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wonderful College Prep Academy). They took their matchup on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 47-2 win over Frazier Mountain. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Laton's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Wonderful College Prep Academy, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
