            Football Recap: Saint Mary's Panthers vs. Kennedy Titans        
        
		
        
        
            Saint Mary extended their losing streak  to three  on Saturday, dropping them down to 1-4. They were six  points away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   26-20 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kennedy Titans. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in September of 2024.
 Despite the loss, Saint Mary's still got an impressive performance from   Wyatt Swanson, who rushed for 38 yards and three  TDs. Swanson also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble and making eight total tackles.
As for Kennedy,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 4-1. The  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 34.0 points over those games.
 Kennedy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Jaden Roman led the charge by picking up 100 receiving yards and a pair of  scores. Roman's receiving production has been exceptional  recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 100  receiving yards.
 Saint Mary's and Kennedy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next  matchups. The next time the Panthers see the field they'll take on El Cerrito  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 10th. As for Kennedy, their break will end when they face Newark Memorial  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 10th.
