Softball Recap: Guardian Angels Central Catholic Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Guardian Angels Central Catholic waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over NEN. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 on Saturday.

Abi Toline spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Abby Kreikemeier, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two triples, and three runs. That's the most triples she has posted since back in October of 2024. Ava Minnick was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Guardian Angels Central Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as NEN only posted a batting average of .231.

Guardian Angels Central Catholic's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for NEN, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-6.
