Recap: Katella Knights vs. Santa Ana Valley Falcons
The third road match was the charm for the Katella Knights, as they earned their first road win of the season. They came out on top against Santa Ana Valley by a score of 49-41 on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Katella also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2020.
Despite the loss, Santa Ana Valley still got an impressive performance from Talyah Paepule, who scored 21 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 blocks. The contest was Paepule's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Oilicec Fernandez, who scored 9 points.
The win got Katella back to even at 3-3. As for Santa Ana Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Katella will square off against Cabrillo at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Santa Ana Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Glenn at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
