Baseball Recap: Lanier Christian Academy's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Lanier Christian Academy's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They never let Trinity Classical get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. Considering the Lightning have won four contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lanier Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Tres Criste, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Criste is becoming a predictor of the Lightning's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't). Gavin Strabala was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Lanier Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory snapped Lanier Christian Academy's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-5 record. As for Trinity Classical, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.
