Soccer Game Preview: Pymatuning Valley vs. LaBrae

The Pymatuning Valley Lakers will face off against the LaBrae Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Pymatuning Valley's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Pymatuning Valley is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Lordstown on Thursday. The Lakers fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 2-1.

Pymatuning Valley's goal came courtesy of Aiden Taylor, who's now up to six this season.

Meanwhile, LaBrae kept a clean sheet against McKinley on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Red Dragons. The game was the first time LaBrae have beaten McKinley on their pitch since October 11, 2016.

LaBrae picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-7-2. As for Pymatuning Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-3.
