Soccer Recap: Oberlin Comes Up Short

Oberlin was the 5-2 winner over Lorain when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Phoenix lost 7-3 to the Titans on Thursday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Oberlin were already down 3-0.

Tiago Ramos-Reilly and Colbey Wnoroski scored all three of Oberlin's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Oberlin and nudges their season record down to 6-10-1. As for Lorain, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 5-10-1.

Oberlin has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Lordstown on the 13th. As for Lorain, they will square off against Mentor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
