Soccer Game Preview: Verdugo Hills vs. Banning

The Verdugo Hills Dons will take on the Banning Pilots at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Verdugo Hills is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Verdugo Hills is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Verdugo Hills who was credited with the win. Amy Valdez had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Dons.

On Monday, Banning needed a bit of extra time to put away South Gate. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rams, sneaking past 2-1. The victory was nothing new for the Pilots as they're now sitting on three straight.

Verdugo Hills' win bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Banning, they pushed their record up to 22-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Everything went Verdugo Hills' way against Banning when the teams last played back in January of 2020, as Verdugo Hills made off with a 4-1 win. Does Verdugo Hills have another victory up their sleeve, or will Banning turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
