Basketball Recap: Ridgeview Falls Despite Big Games from Akasia Jackson and Victoria Smith-Chaplin

Ridgeview lost against Sanger back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wolf Pack took a 64-47 bruising from the Apaches. The Wolf Pack have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ridgeview's loss came despite strong showings from Victoria Smith-Chaplin and Akasia Jackson. Smith-Chaplin posted seven points and 13 rebounds, while Jackson shot 50% from the field on her way to 11 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Smith-Chaplin has been hot recently, having posted ten or more boards the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Avia Mesa, who put up ten points.

Ridgeview's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Sanger, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.

Ridgeview will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Atascadero at 3:00 p.m. on the 20th. As for Sanger, they will challenge Paso Robles on Thursday.
