St. Mary had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Clovis Cougars by a score of 56-49 on Saturday. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 53-45 victory the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

St. Mary's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Horton, who went 5-for-8 en route to 10 points and eight rebounds. Mia Jamias was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Clovis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

St. Mary's didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 75-45 victory against Buchanan on the 29th. As for Clovis, they have also already played their next contest, a 64-49 win against Archbishop Riordan on the 28th.
