Basketball Recap: Alonnie Baldwin - Muldrow and Amy Boa Secure Win for E.E. Smith

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for E.E. Smith on Friday. Everything went their way against the Triton Hawks as the E.E. Smith Golden Bulls made off with a 53-27 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 72-32 back in December of 2024.

E.E. Smith was led to victory by Amy Boa and Alonnie Baldwin - Muldrow. Boa went 5 for 7 en route to 16 points, while Baldwin - Muldrow posted 14 points and four steals. Those 16 points gave Boa a new career-high. Alicia Phillips was another key player, putting up five points and four blocks.

E.E. Smith was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Triton still got an impressive performance from Nashara McNeil-Watlington, who went 6 of 15 on her way to 17 points.

The victory made it two in a row for E.E. Smith and bumps their season record up to 9-6. As for Triton, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

E.E. Smith will face off against Overhills at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Triton has already played their next matchup (against Terry Sanford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
