Softball Game Preview: Parkway North Vikings vs. Pattonville Pirates

Parkway North is 2-7 against Pattonville since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Vikings will head out on the road to challenge the Pirates at 4:15 p.m. Parkway North has given up an average of 13.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Parkway North came up short against Northwest on Friday, falling 17-1.

Pattonville couldn't beat St. Charles West on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Pirates took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The loss continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.

Parkway North's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Pattonville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8-1.

Parkway North took their victory against Pattonville when the teams last played back in October of 2023 by a conclusive 19-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
