Recap: Etna Lions vs. Fall River Bulldogs
The Etna Lions suffered their biggest loss since November 30, 2023 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 82-44 loss at the hands of Fall River. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Etna in their matchups with Fall River: they've now lost nine in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fall River to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reese Cassity, who scored 28 points along with six assists. Cassity hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Serena Conway, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Etna has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Fall River, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-8.
Etna will head out on the road to challenge Modoc at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Modoc focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday. As for Fall River, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mt. Shasta at 7:00 p.m. Mt. Shasta has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 2.
