Basketball Recap: Linden Comes Up Short

Linden lost against Bret Harte two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Linden Lions were dealt a 68-17 loss at the hands of the Bret Harte Bullfrogs. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1099th, while the Bullfrogs are ranked 296th).

Linden's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Bret Harte, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-4.

Linden will challenge Riverbank at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Riverbank will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Linden surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bret Harte, they will head out on the road to face off against Big Valley Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bret Harte is facing Big Valley Christian at the right time seeing as Big Valley Christian is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
