Baseball Game Preview: Goodwin RVT Gladiators vs. New Britain Hurricanes

Goodwin RVT hasn't had much luck against New Britain recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Gladiators will venture away from home to face off against the Hurricanes at 6:30 p.m. Goodwin RVT has given up an average of 14.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Goodwin RVT's offense. They came up short against Middletown on Wednesday, falling 17-0.

Meanwhile, New Britain won against Berlin on Monday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Hurricanes never let Academy of Science and Innovation get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hurricanes.

Goodwin RVT's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for New Britain, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.

Goodwin RVT suffered a grim 19-0 defeat to New Britain when the teams last played back in April. Can the Gladiators avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
