Basketball Recap: Grace Davis Drops Season-High Score on Pacheco

Grace Davis scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 75-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pacheco Panthers. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 60-54.

It was another big night for Sasha Siemiller, who posted 27 points and eight steals for Pacheco. That's the most points Siemiller has posted since back in January of 2024. Mary Tava was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 15 points and nine boards.

Grace Davis is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 21-5. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points over those games. As for Pacheco, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 20-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Davis will venture away from home to face off against Johansen at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pacheco, they will challenge Livingston at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
